Job Title: Business Development Director

The Role

Responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to support the growth of the direct private client distribution for the specific region.

Strong financial planning and investment management understanding across asset and wealth management to be able to represent distribution across the proposition and product landscape for our private client business.

Outcomes of the Role

  • Primarily a field-based position with a new business focus to create new private client opportunities for the specific region. 
  • Work with the specialist PCD BDD’s to replicate the Professionals, Entrepreneurs & Corporates strategies on a regional basis.
  • Create and actively manage a network of professional connections as sources of referrals, building a pipeline of potential new clients.
  • Work closely with FPs, WPs & IMs to ensure strong relationships are developed with the network of professional connections.
  • Represent all areas of proposition to ensure that the whole of Rathbones is delivered to clients to meet their objectives, including DFM, MPS, Multi Asset, Greenbank & RAM strategies.
  • Instigate and help deliver a programme of events alongside professional connections to generate opportunities within the specific region.
  • Collaboration closely with all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and embrace new routes to market and opportunities and share best practice across other regions and specialist PCD BDD’s.
  • Maintain and update accurate sales and relationship data on Salesforce CRM system.

  • Strong ability to think strategically: analytical and structured with the proven ability to interpret data to ensure marketing activities support business goals.
