Role Title: Senior Business Insight Manager – Financial Analysis, Insights & Data

Location: Leeds/Liverpool

Contract: Perm

Working pattern: Hybrid

 

About the Role

 

You will support the Head of Financial Analysis, Insights & Data in the provision of timely, accurate and insightful data to drive the strategic decision-making of the Group. This role is critical in ensuring the team delivers high-impact financial insights that directly inform and influence executive-level decisions. The individual will act as a primary interface for executive committee members, manage key relationships, and ensure the team’s priorities align with the Group’s strategic objectives.

 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Provide expert financial analysis and insight to support the Group’s strategic decision-making, ensuring recommendations are robust, data-driven, and aligned with business goals.
  • Act as the key relationship manager for executive committee members, proactively understanding their needs and ensuring the team delivers actionable insights.
  • Work collaboratively with other leaders in the team, notably the Senior Finance Manager – Data & Analytics and the Client Facing Business Partner Manager, to ensure a joined-up approach to delivering value across the team.
  • Oversee the allocation of team resources, set priorities, and ensure delivery against critical deadlines.
  • Represent the department at senior leadership meetings, providing updates, influencing decisions, and championing the team’s work.
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytical methodologies, data modelling, and reporting processes.
  • Champion the understanding and upskilling of team members in financial planning and RAM data, as well as RIM, ensuring the team develops and maintains expertise and can deliver high-quality insights across every area of the Group.
  • Key departmental relationships would be Financial Planning, RAM, Distribution and CCO.  

 

About you

  • Significant experience in financial analysis, business insights, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results through others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and solve problems at a senior level.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with experience engaging executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good understanding of the Finance Function, although does not require to be a qualified accountant
