Role: Administrator – Ops Control Assurance

Department: Oversight & Control 

Location: Liverpool 

Contract Type: 6 months

Reporting to: Vicky Rotheram

 

The Role

 To undertake first line independent data verification assurance and quality assurance activities, to ensure that all approved new accounts and amendments meet regulatory requirements, that the correct level of anti-money laundering (AML) due diligence (DD) has been completed and to identify and remove data inaccuracies.  This activity has been designed ensure that the data held on systems is fit for use in its intended operational role, and conforms to standards that have been set, so that its fitness for use is achieved.

 

Outcomes of the Role

·         Accountable for administrative tasks within the team in line with the team’s procedures manual

·         Ensure you are adhering to the teams current SLAs and to all regulatory requirements

·         Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external

·         Be responsible for your own personal development, keeping abreast of industry standards, regulatory changes as well as understanding your own training needs

·         Deal with queries from investment management function colleagues, and as applicable wider group colleagues

·         Assist in the production of departmental management information for inclusion in the month end reports

·         Support the maintenance, and update, of department procedures; ensure that they are kept in line with internal processes, and regulatory requirements

·         Assist with project work, and systems testing, as and when requested

·         Support group-wide disaster recovery activities, including off site, as and when required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

·         Ideally a financial services background, with experience in a similar role. Wealth management exposure preferred.

·         CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable.

·         PC literate; knowledge of MS Office as well as of RID/ExBO, and Electronic Account Opening System.

·         Good co-ordination / organisation skills; attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Ability to verbally communicate effective, and interact with wider group colleagues in a constructive manner.

·         Ability to plan and manage time effectively, allocating realistic timeframes to complete tasks.

·         Remain objective under pressure; be adaptable and pragmatic in approach.

·         Demonstrate a methodical and consistent approach.

·         Proactive stance towards continual professional development.

·         Ability to develop, build and maintain, constructive and open relationships with internal stakeholders, supporting a no-blame culture.

·         Display a willingness to take the initiative
