About the Role
Entry level role - meeting Trust Compliance requirements
What you’ll be responsible for
- To bookkeep clients records when requested to the timeframes explained.
- To assist with the preparation of all types of Trust accounts
- Preparation of Trust tax returns and supporting Income Tax and Capital Gains schedules
- Consideration of regulatory requirements relating to Beneficiaries, including preparation of tax certificates for inclusion with their personal affairs.
- To assist with making July and January tax payments for clients.
- To assist with the production of charity accounts and returns in accordance with FRS102 and the Charities Act 2011.
- To prepare computations and appropriate working papers for each Trust
- Taking responsibility for the allocated portfolio of Trust clients.
- Effectively working with line management and client managers to meet with client and regulatory deadlines.
- To prepare ad hoc reconciliations and schedules as and when required.
- Undertake quality checks on all work produced to maintain high standards and contribute to the business delivering an exceptional level of service.
About you

- Knowledge of Trust structures desirable though not essential.
- Experience in the preparation and completion of Trusts accounts and tax returns is desirable though not essential.
- Good knowledge and ability to use Microsoft office tools.
- Personable and helpful; ability to work within a team.
- Highly organised and driven to succeed.
- Understanding the importance of demonstrating excellent communication skills, with respectful openness and honesty to achieve professional outcomes.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Some experience or training in accountancy or tax is desirable though not essential.
- Ability and willingness to undertake ongoing study.
