The Role
We currently have two openings for Performance Analysts to join our team in the Liverpool office and play key role in contributing to Rathbone's ambitious growth plans.
One role is for our external Performance team and the other will be working with the Rathbones Asset Management side of the team.
Both are hybrid working roles with 1-2 days in the office each week and Monday as an anchor day for the team.
Outcomes of the Role
External Analyst
- Develop knowledge across all aspects of Performance and Risk Analysis.
- Produce high quality external reporting for a range of large clients and IFAs.
- Contribute to the creation of performance composites in line with GIPS compliant standards.
- Collaborate with client facing teams and professional intermediaries to enhance and evolve performance reporting.
- Build up knowledge to participate in change projects requiring performance expertise.
- Provide ad hoc support to the front office as needed, these responsibilities can be extensive and varied.
- Support other members of the team to ensure smooth delivery of objectives.
- Maintain and develop procedures and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
RAM Analyst
- Through learning and experience, become an expert in all areas of RAM Performance and Risk analysis and reporting.
- Production and development of Monthly and Quarterly reporting.
- Ensuring accuracy of our fund returns in external vendors (FE and Morningstar).
- Support RAM related queries, sales reporting and fund updates.
- BarraOne System Maintenance: Data integrity and development for RAM funds.
- To support other members of the team.
- Upkeep and development of procedures and processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across Investment Management, client-facing teams, and the wider business.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse and present insights from large datasets and integrate multiple data sources.
- Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently, as part of a team and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desirable
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to challenge existing processes and suggest enhancements to improve analysis.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for developing IT skills and embracing new technologies.
- No specific degree requirement, a common misconception is that a Maths or Physics degree is essential for Performance roles. Reality is, a genuine desire to enhance what Rathbones offers clients is far more relevant.
