Job Title: Senior Transformation Office Analyst

Location: Glasgow/London/Liverpool

The Role

 

Responsible for the administration of the Transformation Office (TO), which includes benefits oversight, quality assurance, standards, principles, process, RACI and management activities required to support the Transformation programme. Support the Heads of Delivery, Programme and Project Managers through the provision of governance guidance and the quality assurance of programmes.

 

The main differences between the Senior TO Analyst role and the TO Analyst role are:

  • Senior TO Analyst to act as deputy for the TO Manager where needed
  • Significant experience working within an Exec-facing Change & Transformation function
  • Experience of managing projects, including budgets
  • Operates and communicates at a senior level within the business
  • Alongside the TO Manager acts as main liaison point between the TO team and GEC / Finance
  • Alongside the TO Manager, takes accountability for designing and delivering improvements to the TO function / framework to enhance the TO service catalogue
  • In recognition of their more senior status, the Senior TO Analyst acts as main liaison with Finance for the Change & Transformation budget

 

Outcomes of the Role

 

  • Programme Planning
    • Maintain a 5-year roadmap view of the strategic transformation programme to aid Exec-level progress monitoring as well as evaluation of performance and benefits realisation against strategic objectives.
    • Support the regular impact assessment of the current portfolio and the addition of any new initiatives as well as changes to existing initiatives.
  • Programme Planning

  • Quality Assurance
    • Maintain a Quality Assurance Framework across the Transformation programmes.
    • Conduct regular reviews and ad-hoc checks ensuring that audit requirements (both internal and external) as well as delivery standards are met.
    • Maintain and drive forward the remediation actions identified as part of audit and Transformation Office-led quality assurance reviews.
  • Benefits Management
    • Ensure operational controls are in place & being adhered to for the monitoring of investment and the validation of delivered benefits.
  • Change Management Framework
    • Contribute to the implementation and regular review of controls, processes, artefacts and guidelines underpinning the overall programme management framework.
    • Monitor adherence to the Change Management Framework and the maintenance of accurate and timely programme data.
    • Support the maintenance of the repository for templates, tools and guidance.
    • Provide training for TO as well as Business-led delivery around the firm to ensure consistency across departments.
    • Support continuous improvement to tools, templates and frameworks used for programme governance across the business.
  • Demand / Priority Management
    • Regular administration of the Demand & Priority Management process, ensuring that initiatives are documented with relevant strategic alignment, risk, cost, benefit and timeline criteria, and are presented/recommended for Steering Committee approval.
    • Where required, assist business areas (‘Verticals’) with quantifying demand.
  • Programme / Resource Scheduling
    • Support the provision of views of capacity for people, environments, and impact of changes to schedule and cost.
    • Analyse and maintain a forward-looking in-flight transformation programme view. Carry out assurance activities and follow-up on recommendations / action plans where applicable.
  • Programme Budget Management
    • Maintain a transformation programme budget baseline, current cost position and expected final budget information.
    • Document and track overall budget spend profile (planned vs. actual).
  • Programme Risk Management
    • Maintain an aggregate with of key risks, issues and dependencies across the scope led by the Head of Programme.
  • Reporting
    • Provide guidance to programme managers on status reporting (finance, risk, schedule, etc…), complete regular checks on the accuracy of programme metrics provided and follow up on remediation actions as well as training needs.
    • Support the production of Exec level reports as required.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build & manage relationships within the transformation office as well as the Business-led delivery teams.
