About the Role
To work as part of the sales team, providing a hybrid proactive sales service and relationship management to an intermediary client base within a defined geography / regional area. Primarily by phone and teams with some filed activity included.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Representing the front face of Rathbones the candidate will develop relationships internally and externally to enable them to deliver and retain business across the spectrum of products and services offered by Rathbone Asset Management.
- Ensure consistent communication on Rathbone products and services and deal with specific enquiries on both a reactive and proactive basis to a longer list of intermediary clients.
- Work with the Business Development Directors and Heads of Departments to devise, action and review a sales strategy for your defined client market.
- Deliver an agreed level of new business in line with regional team sales target.
- Proactively follow-up on sales activities generated by Business Development Directors
- Plan and organise sales visits and client presentations for the Business Development Directors Proactively carry out external communication of sales and marketing campaigns.
- ‘Close deals’ ensuring that the appropriate product or service has been sold.
- Build appropriate internal relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate external introductions where appropriate.
- Provide market feedback to the business
- Work closely and support both BDD activity and partnership activity that falls within region.

- Detailed understanding of the products and services Rathbone provide
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to develop & maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong communicator and able to build and maintain good internal and external relationships.
- Systems competence – demonstrates competence in using Company systems
- Solid understanding of the regulatory environment in which we operate
- Understanding of the competitive environment in which we operate including product and services from our peers.
- Have experience working in a similar role in Financial Services or the Investment Management industry
