About the Role

At Rathbones, our client-facing colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an experienced Colleague Communications Manager to help keep them connected, informed and inspired. Partnering closely with senior leaders across our Wealth business, you'll shape the way we communicate with colleagues, ensuring they have the right information at the right time to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence how communications are delivered across a large and evolving organisation. From business updates and strategic initiatives to change communications and colleague engagement, you'll create compelling content and experiences that bring our business to life and strengthen understanding, connection and engagement across our Wealth community.

Success in this role means more than just delivering communications. You'll continually raise the quality and impact of our colleague communications, modernise and optimise our channel landscape, drive engagement to new levels, and become a trusted communications partner to stakeholders across the Wealth business.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Partnering with senior leaders and key stakeholders to help activate a targeted colleague communications strategy for the Wealth business
  • Supporting the day-to-day delivery of clear, effective and engaging communication across Wealth
  • Drawing on the company narrative to produce, distribute and amplify high-impact communications to client-facing colleague audiences
  • Supporting the effective delivery of procedural, training and technical content, as required
  • Helping manage a modern, integrated mix of channels and content formats to run colleague engagement campaigns, in-person and virtual events, and more
  • Developing and delivering communication plans for a wide range of initiatives, including change and transformation workstreams
  • Acting as a trusted communications adviser to the business, supporting leaders and building strong relationships on behalf of our team
  • Working with the Wealth senior leadership team and the wider Colleague Communications team to maintain and continually improve a rigorous planning, production and measurement process

  • Comfortable using AI tools to speed up and sharpen comms production, measurement and insight
  • Solid grounding in creative production, with the ability to visually express content with minimal creative team support (including video and event production)
  • Great storytelling, writing and presentation skills, with considerable experience crafting compelling narratives
  • Meticulously organised and highly flexible, with a proven ability to balance multiple campaigns and projects at once
  • A proven ability to influence stakeholders across the business
  • Confident coaching colleagues on communications and managing agency partners where needed
  • Experience in Wealth and Asset Management, or more broadly in Financial Services (an advantage, not a requirement)
