Job Title: Stewardship Analyst

Reporting to: Matt Crossman
The Role
To support the ESG and Stewardship team with ESG engagement activities and proxy voting with a focus on data analysis, tracking and reporting relating to Stewardship activity.
Outcomes of the Role
Company Engagement
- Lead and Assist with ESG engagements
- Maintain accurate engagement records
- Produce and manage data and information to monitor and report voting and engagement activities
- Assist team with ad-hoc ESG research tasks as required.
Data & Analysis
- Produce MI to communicate Stewardship Team activity to management and the broader business
- Support analysis to understand exposure to and materiality of different ESG risks
Proxy Voting
- Monitor proxy voting activities, ensuring timely execution of proxy votes for RIM
- Directly responsible for voting on a sub-set of companies in the RIM voting list.
Client Requests
- Respond to and track Stewardship-related queries in DDQs, RFIs and bespoke client reports.
Other
- Produce, research and develop ESG Newsletter
Support the work of the Engagement Committee and Corporate Governance and Voting Committees
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Interest in corporate sustainability
- Knowledge of key ESG topics
- Strong data and analysis skills, including proficiency with Excel required
- Strong analytical and research abilities
- Highly organised, experienced in planning workloads against the background of changing priorities
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently, taking initiative to address problems
- Thorough and accurate
- Degree level education in academic subject (Law, Finance, Business, Philosophy, Geography)
- Prior experience of the investment management industry and/or Sustainability or Responsible Investing.
