Job Title:  Marketing Accountability and Operations Manager

The Role

This role oversees the creation and maintenance of a strong marketing operations infrastructure, focusing on improving operational workflows and resource utilisation. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to execute campaigns effectively, manages marketing operational technology, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR. They are also responsible for establishing and monitoring KPIs to enhance performance and efficiency 

 

Outcomes of the Role

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a strong marketing operations infrastructure, ensuring seamless workflow and collaboration across teams.
  • Develop and implement marketing processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and streamline campaign execution.
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs to ensure marketing activities are performed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to optimise marketing operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve performance.
  • Manage the marketing technology stack, ensuring the correct tools are in place and properly utilised to support marketing goals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including GDPR and data privacy laws, across all marketing operations.
  • Provide training and support to marketing teams on operational processes, tools, and systems to drive consistent execution

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in marketing operations management, ideally within a complex and regulated industry such as financial services or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and tools, including CRM systems, project management software, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Expertise in process optimisation and operational workflow design to enhance efficiency
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively across teams and departments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to marketing activities, including GDPR and data privacy laws.
  • Analytical skills to monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in training and supporting marketing teams on operational tools, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organisational change in marketing operations.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining compliance and operational accuracy in all marketing activities
  • Marketing qualifications such as CIM or IDM
  • Degree in Marketing, business or related field
