At Rathbones, we help people invest their money well, so they can live well. That means more than financial returns – it’s about helping people feel confident in their decisions and supported in their future. We don’t just manage money, we guide people through life’s big moments, helping them stay on track and focus on what matters most.

We’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading wealth managers, with £113.6bn in assets under management (as of March 2026) and 20+ offices across the UK and Channel Islands. We’re a FTSE 250 company with national reach and a local feel – and we’re growing.

Role Title: Strategy Analyst

Division: CEO Office

Location: London

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Hybrid

About the Role

The CEO Office sits at the heart of the organisation, helping senior leaders navigate complex challenges, make informed decisions and turn strategy into action.

As an Analyst, you'll work alongside the Manager and Senior Manager to answer some of the business's most important strategic, commercial and operational questions. You'll transform data into insights and recommendations that shape decisions across Rathbones.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop commercial acumen, gain exposure to senior stakeholders and make a meaningful impact on the future direction of Rathbones, making it an excellent foundation for a future business leader.

We are a small, ambitious and high-performing team.  We work together to solve problems, support each other during busy periods and maintain exceptionally high standards.

The environment is fast-paced and often unstructured. Priorities can move quickly, and not every problem arrives with a clearly defined brief or obvious answer.

Success comes from being intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take ownership.

In return, you will gain exposure at C-Suite level, responsibility and learning opportunities.

What you’ll be responsible for

You will be responsible for generating the insight that helps the business understand its performance, identify opportunities and challenge assumptions. You will:

  • Develop the analytical foundation that underpins strategic discussion and decision-making across the business.
  • Interrogate large and complex data sets, identify patterns, uncover opportunities, challenge assumptions and help the team develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Leverage AI and analytical tools to accelerate research, modelling and insight generation.
  • Support business planning, forecasting and performance monitoring activities.
  • You won't simply report what happened. You'll help explain why it happened, why it matters and what should happen next.

A key part of the role is transforming information, analysis and competing viewpoints into concise, compelling and actionable narratives. You will:

  • Turn analysis into clear, executive-level messages and recommendations.
  • Develop presentations, papers and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Distil complex issues into the critical insights that matter most.
  • Tailor communication for different audiences, from working teams through to Executive Committee and Board-level discussions.
  • Connect data, commercial context and strategic implications into a coherent story.
  • Help ensure outputs are decision-ready, not simply information-rich.
  • Continuously improve the quality, consistency and impact of the team's outputs.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong analytical foundations and the ambition to develop into a future business leader.

If you meet some of these criteria and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply:

  • Strong relevant experience within consulting, corporate strategy, finance, business management or another analytical environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Enjoys solving problems and turning data into insight.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Motivated by learning, growth and continuous improvement.
