About the Role
The Transfer Agency Analyst - Oversight & Control role will be responsible for overseeing the operations of RAM’s appointed transfer agents. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of RAM and plays a key part in ensuring strong operational performance and ongoing regulatory compliance across all transfer agency activities.
The successful candidate will support and undertake oversight of RAM’s transfer agents - SS&C for the UK funds and HSBC Luxembourg for the SICAV range - ensuring that high standards of service, governance and control are consistently maintained.
The role also provides regulatory oversight of RAM’s critical outsourced providers, classified as Critical/Material under the FCA’s SYSC 8 outsourcing requirements for UK-authorised firms.
What you’ll be responsible for
• Assist in the day-to-day management and oversight of activities outsourced to SS&C and HSBC.
• Maintain a robust monitoring schedule.
• Ensure oversight is evidenced to allow regulatory checks.
• Conduct due diligence during visits to key suppliers.
• Attend regular calls with outsourcers to monitor KPIs and develop working relationships.
• Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are robust and up to date.
• Maintain the breach register, including logging, challenging and reporting to Trustee/Depositary. Produce MI and trend analysis.
• Error analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Attend project calls and assist the Transfer Agency Oversight & Control Manager with maintaining project documentation.
• Prepare reports for quarterly meetings of the Outsourcing Governance Committee.
• Monitoring of FCA and CSSF regulations; where required ensure controls are implemented.
• Liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare minutes for committees and project meetings as required.
• Assist with rebate and commission payments.
• Oversight of regulatory reporting, including FCA, HMRC.
• Attestations and control mapping in Ruleguard.
• Identifying and delivering service enhancements.
• Invoice processing, cost analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvements towards Investor servicing.
• Periodically attend industry seminars and user groups to keep up to date with regulations and industry developments.
• Maintain RAMs restricted share classes framework from a TA perspective.
About you

• Educated to at least A level or equivalent with good GCSE Maths and English.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a role within the Asset Management industry.
• Understanding of outsourced transfer agent operating model.
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and how that applies that to this role.
• Understanding of UCITS, NURS, CAIF and SICAV fund structures.
• Logical thinker, able to work through complex problems.
• Ability to manage multiple workflows.
• Strong professional relationships with internal and external industry colleagues.
• Comfortable collaborating with internal teams such as Product, AML, and Compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills .
• Proactive approach to continuous process improvements.
• Intermediate Word and Excel skills required, experience using Excel functions such as VLookup.
• Experience at working on projects.
• Must enjoy working in a small team.
• Must have attention to detail and eye for accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A flexible approach will be required and there may be a need to work late from time to time.
