Role Title: UX / Creative Copywriter

The Role
To create highly effective user-centric content (UX and copy) that not only enables a delightfully simple customer and service experience and fulfils the business’ communication and process requirements - but that also reinforces the brand equities across different touchpoint formats.
Outcomes of the Role
- Hybrid UX/copywriter that collaborates within the brand and digital team, as well as the broader client office and wider business to deliver key conversion-driving content.
- Understands customer journeys and the role of content and functional elements within key segment/persona journeys.
- Executes UX on relevant content/functional pages in collaboration with the Senior UX/UI designer and the Brand Strategy Senior Manager
- Writes long-form propositional and positioning content as well as best-practice functional copy related to elements such as web forms / client instructions etc
- Able to bring these two elements (UX and writing) together to create content that meets consumer needs, is delightfully simple, and ultimately drives conversion.
- Has a clear understanding of SEO principles and how to write to best fulfil these.
- An evangelist and custodian of the brand behaviours and tone of voice, not only demonstrating these in their own work, but identifying opportunities to influence tone and approach elsewhere in the business.
- Outputs could encompass website, brochureware, on and offline forms, email, front-office collateral, and more.
- Consumer Duty understanding and adherence critical.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- User-centric design and copywriting
- Significant experience with using Figma
- Experience using design systems, CMS (preferably Drupal), and email tools, in the effective production of UX for functional pages and email – including an understanding of responsive design, and component creation and ultilisation.
- Experience in working in – and writing for - highly regulated sectors (preferably financial services / wealth management)
- Proven ability to work within a team in a complex organisational structures to engage and align stakeholders at the right stage of the creative process.
- Process driven with strong attention to detail
- Minimum 2-3 years in a hybrid ux/copywriting role, ideally in a creative agency or a client side creative services team
- A portfolio demonstrating excellence in delivering functional and SEO enabled end product, where UX and copywriting has played a key role in conversion.
- Flexing output according to brand purpose, values, positioning & brand expression
- Experience writing for and managing output in a highly regulated sector (preferably FS / Asset Management / Wealth Management)
