Job Title: UK / UI Designer

Department: Client Office

Location: London

Reporting to: Avery Hennings

 

The Role

A key member of the Brand Strategy team, developing high quality UX / UI solutions that enable client interactions, drive funnel conversion – and critically – contribute towards a brilliantly simple digital experience that drives Rathbones brand image / equity in key areas, creating a standout, awardable brand experience.

 

Outcomes of the Role

  • Part of a wider Brand and Digital services team that ultimately have the job of translating the brand expression into digital and collateral experience touchpoints, in such as way as to drive conversion.
  • Reporting into the Brand Strategy Senior Manager and working alongside the senior UX/UI developer, you will be given ownership of project workstreams 
  • Within these you will be responsible for translating a new Visual ID (due 2025) and brand positioning into exceptional UX/UI across a new website experience and other key client and prospect touchpoints. 
  • Working collaboratively with creative services (largely offline) and the digital team (website product owners and digital specialists) to ensure that we enable constant improvement in the experience.
  • This will require activities such as analysis of data sets, user testing, prototype and/or wireframe and design development – as well as complex stakeholder understanding and management – as well as the skills to compile business cases and sell-in your creative output internally.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • User-centric design
  • Advanced level of prowess with Figma and Adobe Creative cloud
  • Experience using design systems and CMS (preferably Drupal) and email tools in the effective production of components and pages including understanding of responsive design.
  • Experience in data analytics – including GA and SEO – to drive insight and recommendations
  • Able to create business cases / rationales relating to recommendations for change
  • Ability to work within complex stakeholder systems and filter / prioritise business priorities
  • Process driven with attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years in a UX/UIdesign role, ideally in a creative agency or a client side creative services team
  • Demonstrable experience of using research and testing insights to reach great solutions for users and the businesses.
  • Agency experience preferred
  • A portfolio of evidenced CX transformation with business impact
  • Evidence of brand transformation as applied to experience design.
